8 advantages of painting
Children enjoy painting –ιδιαίτερα μαθήματα– without thinking about what it offers them. Through painting they are led to a healthier and happier adolescence and later adulthood. Painting is not such a useless skill as many people might think. It hides many benefits and can be really helpful, especially for more timid or special children. More specifically:
Improving children’s mobility
The act of painting can help the mobility of young children. The movements, emotions and precise grip required help the muscles of the fingers, hands and wrists. Developing motor skills helps children become more adept at handling small objects with stability. Somehow they can become excellent typists, experienced athletes or engage in similar activities.
Preparing for school
The education of children in the classroom is based on structure. Almost all courses are examined or taught in writing with tests, assignments, etc. Drawing on patterned blocks can become an integral part of properly preparing children for the structured work required at school.
Stimulation of creation
Whether they stay on the lines or not, painting promotes a creative spirit and an appreciation for visual differences. Through this process, the imagination and inspiration of children are fed as it pushes them to think and “generate” new ideas.
More readable graphic character
Dexterity, strength in hand and attention to detail are basic prerequisites for the child to write (or often succeed and calligraphy). The more often he paints in blocks with frames, the easier it will be for him to write when the time comes.
Recognition and distinction of colors
The names and shades of each color are difficult to remember, even parents find it difficult. Each different marker (indicative reference) promotes the practice of recognizing common and less common colors.
Concentration and synchronization of eye by hand
Synchronization and focus develop in young children and activities that involve the exercise of these skills help children develop effectively and healthily. When children hold the painting tools, they choose the colors, they paint carefully where they want with the color they choose, even when they sharpen the noses of the colors, at the same time they practice the skill of coordination and concentration.
Boundaries, structure and spatial awareness
Limits are an important lesson that every parent is called to teach their children. Whatever he chooses to “become” your child growing up, he must know how to separate the boundaries that he or his relatives will set for him. By drawing blocks with frames a child learns to respect the limits in order to achieve the result he wants. Also, even if it does not seem at first glance, they learn the shapes, the perspective, the designs and the forms of the illustrations.
Expression of emotions
Every human being expresses himself in a different way. Painting functions as a “vehicle” of expression as it enables children to go beyond “limits” to give their own shapes to thoughts, to choose colors and so on.
I will give you one more piece of advice. DO NOT interfere with children’s painting. Let them enjoy this amazing activity even if they make the sun blue and square. This is also a form of expression that if nothing else in their own minds seems the most correct.
Please let your children develop their imagination and if you want to do something, then grab a pencil and draw together with them. In painting there is no right or wrong. They can draw something that have already seen in their everyday life, something they have dreamed of, something they miss or even plain lines and doodles.
